price changes when published

hi, I have changed my currency to gbp, i enter a product with a price of 6.50, when I publish the item shows as £5.91.

It is very confusing as the line where I enter the price initialy displays $ symbol but one the price is entered it displays £ but then changes the price when published.

I want the published price to be the same as the entered price which seems obvious to me !!

Hope someone can help !!

  Hi Paul,

  It sounds like the published price you are seeing is excluding tax. Have a look at your tax settings. The cart detects your location based on your IP address. You'll probably find that is being considered export for the purposes of tax calculation.
