Easiest way to insert a picture into my website?

I have the web based version of ezimerchant and would like to insert a basic picture onto the website. I am finding it a difficult process. The 'insert picture' button in the Content section asks for a web link, instead of being able to access my hard drive and upload all in one motion. I have tried ftp, but have had no success. There has to be an easy way!
