IMPORTANT NOTES
The Global Transaction Server service incurs an ongoing monthly fee. When you register ezimerchant Professional you are creating an account on the Global Transaction Server (GTS). Active accounts on the GTS server will be automatically billed the monthly fee to a nominated credit card. If you are still in the process of developing a web site with ezimerchant Professional and you do not wish to pay the monthly fee while building the web site, you will have the option to Disable the GTS server functions during the registration process. As long as these functions remain disabled, the GTS will not bill your credit card. If you would like more information on the monthly costs involved please see our ezimerchant Professional information page.
Before Registering your web site with the Global Transaction Server (GTS) you must first create your web site within ezimerchant Professional. If you have been working on your web site in ezimerchant Professional and are now ready to register you can skip to Step 3.
If you have just installed ezimerchant Professional and wish to create and register your web site then please start at Step 1 in this FAQ.
STEP 1
Before you can register ezimerchant Professional you must first create a web site. When you run ezimerchant Professional you will be presented with the following 'Select a web site' screen as shown below:
If you are using ezimerchant Professional for the first time, you will not have any web sites listed other than the sample 'Flowers XPress' web site.
If this is the case you will need create a new web site. If you have already created the web site inside ezimerchant Professional and it is listed in the above screen, you do not need to create another, please skip to Step 3.
STEP 2
To create a new web site in ezimerchant Professional, click the 'New Site' button.
Enter the Business name and Business Description that you would like to give to your new web site. This name and description will not be displayed on your web site, it is for identification purposes only. Once you have entered a business name and description for your web site click the 'OK' button.
ezimerchant Professional will now automatically open your new website and show you the registration wizard welcome screen...
You are now ready to continue onto step three and register ezimerchant Professional...
STEP 3
Please Note: Your PC must be connected to the internet before proceeding. If you are not connected please connect now.
You should see the following screen when you open your ezimerchant Professional web site... Click the 'Next >' button to start the registration process.
Select the 'Register this web site with a license key' option and click the 'Next >' button.
STEP 4
You will now need to enter your license key as demonstrated below...
You can find your license key on the inside case that your ezimerchant Professional CD was shipped in. Please see below for an example of what your license key should look like...
Once you have entered your license key you can click the 'Next >' button to continue.
STEP 5
Fill in all the empty fields on this screen.
Note: Company Name - This field will be displayed to your customers when they purchase from your web site.
Once you have filled in all the empty fields click the 'Next >' button to continue.
STEP 6
Enter your website URL into the 'Web Site Address' field. If you are not sure what your web site address/URL is at the moment, simply leave it blank. You will be able to modify your registration details at a later time.
Once you have filled in these fields click the 'Next >' button to continue.
STEP 7
You will now need to specify a username and password.
Note: The username and password will be used to protect your account and customer order information on the GTS. You will be required to enter them each time you download orders or make changes to your web site settings, so make sure that you write down the username and password that you choose for later reference.
Once you have filled in the empty fields click the 'Next >' Button to continue.
STEP 8
If you are ready to go live with your website, and you are ready to start paying the monthly GTS fees, select the 'Customer Checkout and Order Download features enabled' option.
If you are still wanting to build your website, and you do not wish to start paying the monthly GTS fees yet, select the 'Customer Checkout and Order Download features disabled' option.
Once you have selected the most appropriate option click the 'Next >' option to continue.
STEP 9
You will now need to enter your credit card details. These details will be used by ezimerchant to charge you the monthly GTS fees. If you selected the 'Customer Checkout and Order Download features disabled' option in step 8 then your credit card will not be charged until you make the GTS active at a later date.
Once you have filled in the empty fields click the 'Next >' button to continue.
STEP 10
Click the 'Register' button to send all your details to the GTS server. When you click the 'Register' button, ezimerchant Professional will communicate with the GTS server and create your new account.
While communication is taking place you should see the following screen...
Once the communication has completed you should see the following screen...
Your web site is now successfullyregistered with the GTS. You should write down your registration number along with your username and password for future reference. You can now click the 'Close' button to complete the registration.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- The GTS bills your credit card at the end of each month for the month. Each time we bill your card the GTS server sends an automated GTS compliant Tax Invoice to the email address that we have on record (the email address you supplied when registering).
- If you wish to cancel your GTS account you should call our sales or support team.
