ezimerchant (new web based version released 2010)

15 years after the initial release of ezimerchant, we go back to the original name. As web based software, ezimerchant is evolving quickly so the need for version numbers disappears.

ezimerchant Professional 4.0

The current version of the Windows based ezimerchant desktop software, still in use by thousands of merchants around the world.

Status: Actively supported. Not for sale.

ezimerchant Professional 4.5

Same as ezimerchant Professional 4.5 with a built-in wizard to upgrade to the new web based ezimerchant.
Status: Actively supported. Not for sale.

History

About 15 years go ezimerchant first hit the shelves in retail stores as a take-home DIY shopping cart software package. It was revolutionary for it's time. The only other way to create an online store was to engage the services of a software developer. The concept of "Web developer" didn't even exist back then.

Over the years as ezimerchant has evolved, it has been available in several variations.

Retired versions

ezimerchant (the original) - The very first first version was simply called ezimerchant. It was at the time the only edition available. Status: retired.

ezimerchant Standard - Released at the same time as ezimerchant Professional 1.0. It was the entry level version with a subset of features. Status: retired.

ezimerchant Professional 1.0 - Released at the same time as ezimerchant Standard. It was the fully featured edition available at the time. Status: retired.

My First Store - Released at a low cost with a subset of features and a product limit to provide a highly cost effective entry into ecommerce, especially considering that at the time there still wasn't much choice and selling online was a very expensive exercise. Status: retired.

ezimerchant Professional 2.0 - A major upgrade. Status: retired.

Express Store (Chinese) - A chinese language version of ezimerchant Professional Status: retired.

ezimerchant Professional 3.0 - A major upgrade. Status: retired.

ezimerchant Professional 3.5 - A major upgrade with a new database back end. Status: retired.

Quicken OnlineStore 2002 - A rebranded version of ezimerchant released by Intuit in 2002. Status: retired.

Eziboutik (Dutch) - A dutch language version of ezimerchant Professional. Status: retired.

Eziboutique (French) - A french language version of ezimerchant Professional. Status: retired.

ecommerce Dramatix (Japanese) - A japanese language version of ezimerchant Professional Status: retired.
