You may have the need to supply your customers with additional files which provide more information about the product that your customer is purchasing. Files like MP3's, PDF's, Demo Programs (.exe) etc are a good example of these.

We have included a feature in ezimerchant Professional which allows you to 'attach' these additional files to your products.

STEP 1

From the main screen in ezimerchant Professional, click the 'Manage Products and Categories' link.

STEP 2

Now select the product that you wish to attach the additional file to then click the 'Attached Files' tab.

STEP 3

Click the 'Add' button...

STEP 4

Select the 'File Type' - You have two options...

Select 'File' if the file you wish to attach is stored locally on your PC or select 'URL' if the file you wish to attach is located on the internet. In this example I will choose the URL option.

STEP 5

Enter a 'Title' - This will be displayed on the website as the link to the file.

STEP 6

Enter the 'URL' - In this example, I have chosen to link to a URL, so I need to provide ezimerchant with the full path to the file.

Once you have entered the full URL to the required file click the OK button...

STEP 7

You can continue to add more attachedfiles to your product by using the 'Add' button. When you are finished attaching files you can close the 'Manage Products and Categories' section and then generate your web site.

STEP 8

The generated web site should now include a link to the file...

If you are attaching a file located on the internet you must include the full path to the file including the http://
